Why Just Do Lah?
It takes a village and a whole lot of love.
Choosing a name for my own doula services was a toughie. My hope was to have a name which represented the support and commitment to the families whom I serve while having a tinge of character. I have always been surrounded and inspired by women of strength, spunk, with a touch of sass, who have had positive, gentle births.
“Jamie, you don't try, you just do. You do whatever needs to be done and you'll be there for whoever needs you.”
That's what a close mama friend one day, said to me, when I expressed my difficulty in finding a name and a brand. So, just like that, Just Do Lah was born.
We are all familiar with the Singlish term "Lah". Being bred and raised in Singapore, I felt it was a fun, brief representation of who I am and the community I serve. Moreover, I've always felt that the strength of our little island with its melting pot of various cultures and religions lies in being able to support anyone - regardless of language, race or religion. Synonymously, I am here to serve and support families from all walks of life and whatever the decision you make.
Just Do Lah is just that: my commitment to support you and be there for you and your partner, working together with your village and the community we're in, to achieve the birth you want, with some spunk and fun along the way.

Being a doula isn't a job, it is an act of servitude and a vocation.
As YOUR doula, I pride myself in providing you and your partner with care, understanding, information and support before, throughout, during, and after the birthing process. Our initial meeting will help me to get to know you and your needs, as every pregnancy is different.

Birth Doula Packages & Ala Carte Services
Prenatal, Birth and Postnatal Support
From SGD1,500
The signature package comprises of two 90-minute pre-natal sessions, the attendance of the doula during active labour and birth, as well as a 60 to 90 -minute Postnatal visit. I am also on-call for you 24/7 from Week 37.
Prenatal sessions may be personalised and include everything from talking about your birth plan and a previous birth to me empowering you with information to make choices for your positive birth. It would be preferable if your partner is present so that we are all in tandem and on the same page. Postnatal sessions usually cover baby care and questions about breastfeeding as well as referrals where needed.
However, if you require more sessions, this may be requested for as well. Do give us an early heads up though so that we can plan ahead.
